Balance · Harmony · Truth

Welcome

About Inner Peace Osteopathy.

Inner Peace Osteopathy is inspired by nature and the ancient philosophy that balance and harmony are the truth to good health and wellbeing.

We help patients restore the body's inherent ability to self-heal and self-regulate by removing abnormal imbalances and returning the lost rhythm and natural flow to the body. Poor health, pain, and suffering are interpreted as imbalances and disharmony in the whole body — affecting our mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing.

Our Purpose

To understand the root cause(s) of the patient's health problem rather than bandage the effects, so that the individual can achieve their optimal health for life.

  • Objectively listening to the health needs of the individual
  • Removing structural obstruction to bring balance and stability
  • Integrating and coordinating all systems harmoniously
  • Returning the inherent rhythmicity back to the body

The Science

What is Osteopathy?

The Ontario Osteopathic Association defines Osteopathy as an American science, founded by Dr. Andrew Taylor Still. It is a drugless and non-invasive manual form of therapy which treats the entire body. It follows a set of principles and emphasises the interrelationship between the alignment of structure (anatomy) and function (physiology). Intrinsically, osteopathy believes in the body's ability to self-heal and self-regulate.

"I had discovered that when all bones were in place and joints perfectly articulated, the whole body was a machine and could manufacture and apply all substances necessary to keep it in repair and health."
— A.T. Still

The Benefits

A distinctive manual therapy.

While alleviating pain is the main objective for many patients, the following qualities distinguish osteopathy as a uniquely holistic discipline.

01

Holistic

A distinctive form of manipulative therapy founded on the philosophy that all body systems are interrelated and dependent upon one another. Treatments integrate body, mind, and spirit rather than just the illness.

02

Non-Invasive

Osteopathy leaves no marks on the skin and inserts no instruments into the body. No bleeding, bruising, or trauma — allowing the body to begin self-healing and self-regulating in a far shorter recovery time.

03

Precise

Treatment is precise in improving nerve interference, arterial and cerebrospinal fluid supply, and venous and lymphatic drainage so healing can reverse destructive pathological processes and reduce pain.

04

Drugless

The approach relies on the body's natural ability to self-heal and self-regulate — never on external medications. Restoration without pharmacology.

05

Preventive

Osteopathic care prevents fixed postural tensions which are physiologically abnormal and can lead to disease. Maintains balance, structural stability, and harmonious function of all systems.

06

Palliative

Treatments are relaxing and help to reduce pain when a patient's life forces have diminished due to chronic or incurable illness, supporting comfort and dignity.

Osteopathic Care

Safe, gentle, effective — across every stage of life.

Treatments are specific to each patient's needs with precision and rational thinking. On every visit, patients are examined and assessed structurally using palpation through a recognised system (the Osteopathic Structural Examination).

Initial Osteopathic Treatment

Each new patient completes an online health history and consent form. Treatments are fully clothed — please wear or bring comfortable workout attire that allows for full range of movement.

Follow-up Treatment

Follow-ups vary based on each patient's health and their body's capacity to heal. Most patients see significant improvement after 3 – 5 treatments. Chronic or complex cases may require a longer treatment plan.

Meet The Practitioner

Nga Luu, MSc., M.OMSc., (Cert.) OOA

Nga is a result-oriented and trusted osteopathist who practices with integrity by the words of A.T. Still — "Find it, Fix it, Leave it alone."

She uses her critical thinking and problem-solving skills, the science and principles of osteopathy, and the art of palpation to search for the cause of each patient's health problems — then rationally applies osteopathic treatment in a skilful, safe, and effective system to promote self-healing within the individual.

She is honoured and humbled to have studied at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy and trained in their student clinic in Hamilton, Ontario. Upon completing the rigorous four-year program — along with 1,000 hours of supervised clinical training and practice — she received the Andrew Taylor Still Medal of Honour as Graduate of the Year in her class.

She is a certified professional member in good standing at the Ontario Osteopathic Association (OOA / OSTCAN) and The Canadian Institute of Classical Osteopathy.
